Sunset Boulevard is a little blog about the big and fascinating world of cinema. It’s a world where gun-slinging cowboys, spirited southern belles and Italian-American gangsters have often roamed, among many others. It’s a world where every second counts, and every twist and every turn leads somewhere spectacular.
It’s a world which I have fondly watched from a distance, recording my thoughts, and looking back on my favourites along the way. I started this blog as a way of collecting all my ideas together, but also, and perhaps more importantly, as a way of sharing these ideas with my fellow movie lovers.
Thanks for stopping by !

Hi there Rachel, thanks for stopping by my blog – Geek Blogger UK. Keep up the good work on yours!
No problem Chris! Hope to hear more from you soon :)
Rachel, appreciate the follow from another cinephile. I am often moved by the films I select to see as there is some personal connection. But I hesitate to write more than I do because others might think that I’m not living in reality. Maybe ignoring that hesitation might be the healthy option. At any rate, look forward to reading more of your thoughts.
You’re very welcome. Your writings are beautiful, and I personally find it truly moving to see such an emotional attachment to various films and the stories they tell. Thank you for following.
Hi Rachel! Thanks for following Doorway Between Worlds. I really like the layout of your site. I wish you all the best. :)
No problem Sue! Thanks for visiting :)

Thanks for following! Sunset Boulevard is definitely one of my top 10 favourite films!
You’re welcome :)
Hi Rachel,
I’ve been following the blog for several weeks. I dig how you break down films you love. It helps me to frame my own thoughts on the same movies. I have a little pod cast called the lazy muses. We talk TV and film. I would love it if you would be a guest sometime. We do a weekly recap of Game of Thrones mixed with Best of Lists. Examples are Best Movie Giat Fights, Best Films of (Year), Best Ensemnle… Lurving the blog and I hope you will grace the lazy muses podcast with your insight sometime.
Jimmie G.
Hi Jimmie,
Thank you very much for your kind comment. I’ve just had a little listen to your podcast, and I must say it sounds like a lot of fun! I’d be very happy to drop by lazy muses some time in the future :) —Rachel
P.S. your daughter is utterly adorable!
Woo hoo. Very happy you will be joining us soon. We record via Skype. A USB mic records the best sound, but earbuds with a mic works too. Let me know the best day and time. If you have a topic you think would be cool, that’s great. Otherwise we will throw out some ideas and let you decide. Thank you.
Jimmie.
Sure thing Jimmie. I’m a little bit busy at the moment, so I’ll let you know soon when I’ll be able to record. -Rachel

No problem Linda :) I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read of yours so far, and I must say I have always found the crafting of mystery novels to be very impressive! At the end of the tale, it is so satisfying to find every little piece finally fall into place. I look forward to reading ‘Focused on Murder’ soon – it sounds like a great read!

No problem Sue! Have a lovely day :)
I just like the way you put this: “a world where every second counts, and every twist and every turn leads somewhere spectacular”
Oh, that ineffable second, the breath of Mystery… which contains and permeates it all..everything spectacular seamlessly unfolds out of that encounter…
